Worship service

starts at 11 a.m. (10:30 in summer). It usually begins with music, scripture reading, and a children's story followed by a sermon or meditation, sharing and more singing. The meditation is often given by our pastor, although individuals from the congregation or invited guests also speak.

Language

The language of the service is English. However, songs and Scripture may be in French or Spanish.

Music

is an important part of the church and many individuals contribute their gifts. Hymns are chosen from Mennonite Church hymnals, and the tradition of four-part harmony is common during singing. People are invited to join in the music in whatever way they feel most comfortable.

Sunday School

All ages are welcome. Adult Sunday School often includes specifically chosen themes. For children, there are different classes depending on age-level.

Annual retreat

The autumn weekend retreat in the countryside celebrates the onset of new directions starting in the fall, and the changing colour of the leaves.

Special events

On the first Sunday of Advent, “Faspa” is a time for participants to gather for a meal in various homes, followed by a carol sing at the church.

Other special events and community meals that mark the church year are Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Pentecost, the Sunday School Picnic, a late summer corn roast, Thanksgiving, Arts Evenings, Peace Sunday, and Communion. Once a month after church, all are welcome to stay for coffee.
